Colonel Hoppington was born in February 2026 and is ready to report for duty in his forever home! This handsome young rabbit has a striking tan and black harlequin coat, and he's absolutely adorable, especially with his delightfully silly ears.
Colonel Hoppington came to our shelter as part of an orphaned litter of seven babies. Sadly, only four of the litter survived. Colonel Hoppington is an active bunny, but he can be a little nervous when meeting new people or adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings. Like many rabbits, he'll benefit from patience, gentle handling, and time to build trust.
Colonel Hoppington is litterbox trained, microchipped, vaccinated against RHDV2, and neutered, so he's all set to hop straight into his new home. If you're looking for a charming companion with an extra dose of cuteness, Colonel Hoppington may be the perfect addition to your family.
Neutered 6/4/26
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv
