Alessio - Yorkshire Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Madison, Wisconsin

Meet Alessio!

Alessio is one of the 35 dogs rescued from a property in Missouri, alongside his sister, Ethal. Like his sister, Alessio is a little nervous and would benefit from a patient, understanding family willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel safe and settle into his new life.

Alessio has spent much of his life around other dogs and would likely benefit from having a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes! With a little patience, love, and reassurance, we know Alessio has so much potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.

The Yorkshire Terrier, also known as Yorkie, is a small and glamorous toy dog breed known for its long, flowing coat and spirited personality. Originating from England, these affectionate and intelligent dogs make wonderful companions for individuals and families alike. With a weight of around 7 pounds, Yorkies are portable and adaptable, thriving in both city apartments and rural settings. Despite their small size, they possess a bold and confident nature, always ready for fun and adventure.
