Miso - Shih Tzu and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Madison, Wisconsin

Meet Miso!

Miso is one of the sweet dogs we rescued from a property in Missouri, and she's ready to begin a new chapter! The world can feel like a big, scary place when you're still learning to trust it, so Miso will need a patient and understanding family willing to help build her confidence at her own pace.

With time, kindness, and plenty of encouragement, Miso has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion! She would likely do well with cats, respectful children, and a confident, friendly canine companion who can help show her the ropes. Miso is looking for a family who understands that progress takes time and that the best friendships are worth waiting for.

Could you be the one to help this sweet girl discover how wonderful life can be?

All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.

The Shih Tzu is a small, affectionate dog breed known for its distinctive appearance, with a luxurious double coat, a short muzzle, and large round eyes. Originally bred as companion dogs for Chinese royalty, Shih Tzus are friendly, outgoing, and loving pets. They are known for their playful and charming personality, making them great family pets and suitable for apartment living. With their low shedding coat and adorable face, Shih Tzus are popular among dog lovers worldwide.
