Sammi - Yellow Labrador Retriever and Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Calgary, Alberta

Meet Sammi — The Energetic, Big personality Pup Ready for His Forever Family
Sammi is a young mixed breed pup, born in March 2026, and full of life. He started out on the streets with his young mum, Sisi, until a kind stranger got the whole family safely into the SPCA PV sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta. His mum is a small Chihuahua cross, but Sammi and his siblings have already surpassed her in size — they’re expected to be 35–40 lbs full grown, a perfect medium size.
Sammi looks to have a bit of lab mixed into his super mix breed, giving him a wonderful blend of enthusiasm, intelligence, and charm.

A High Energy, Joyful Explorer
Sammi is the most energetic and intense of his litter — he’s the one who wants to party. His enthusiasm can be a bit much for some dogs, but he is focused on the party, loving to run and play hard. He’s a medium energy pup with bursts of excitement, and he’ll thrive with a family who enjoys activity, playtime, and helping a young dog channel his energy in fun, positive ways. When he’s not zooming around, Sammi practises visiting with cats — he wants to be ready for whatever loving home awaits him, especially if that home includes feline friends.

Travel Options
Sammi is healthy and has flight options opening for BC and Alberta.
He is available for foster, foster to adopt, and adoption — but most of all, Sammi is hoping for a forever home where he can grow, learn, and be loved for the joyful, spirited pup he is.
