Chiquis - Dachshund and Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Calgary, Alberta

Meet Chiquis — The 14 lb Firecracker Ready for Her Happy Ever After
Chiquis is a stunning 14 lb Chihuahua Dachshund with a gorgeous silver coat and striking green eyes. At just a year and a half old, she’s full of personality, spark, and determination.
She was found searching for scraps in a garbage pile, clearly a recent mum doing her best to survive. SPCA PV volunteers picked her up and went searching for her hungry puppies — and they found them. Her pups have since become happy Canadians in BC and Alberta, and now it’s finally Chiquis’ turn.

A Spirited, Loyal Companion
Chiquis is a firecracker — playful, expressive, and full of life. She can be suspicious and wary of strangers, especially when they enter the shelter, so she needs to go slow with new people. Once she trusts you, her affection and charm shine through. She prefers smaller dogs, and can be intense with some dogs, but she also enjoys playtime and has passed her feline test — Chiquis practises cat visits and does well.

Chiquis is healthy, spayed, and vaccinated, and she’s more than ready to follow in the footsteps of her pups and find a real home of her own.
