Canelo - Labrador Retriever and Whippet Dog for Adoption in Calgary, Alberta

Just under a year old, this sweet gem of a boy is small to medium sized and is looking for a home. He is an ace cuddler who wears his gratitude proudly and openly. Despite his young age, he had a hard start and was on the street young in Puerto Vallarta. He was the victim of bullying by other street dogs, and got lucky when he went to the right door, and the kindest of people opened her door to rescue him, where he remains in foster. He is sociable, kind hearted, trusting, playful and very affectionate. He loves people and has learned basic cues, and is well on his way to house trained. Canelo gets along with the 3 large resident dogs who have hosted him. While he hasn’t shown signs of prey drive he hasn’t been cat tested. Canelo currently weight 26 lbs and may grow to 30-35 lbs. Canelo is healthy, neutered and vaccinated and has flight options for BC and Alberta.
