Meet Toluz!

This gorgeous face is one of 11 lucky new arrivals that are making their way to Oregon from Mexico to land in temporary foster homes in the greater Portland area. They're coming into our program thanks to our partnership with a rescue that operates near Lake Chapala outside of Guadalajara. Rescue notes:
Toluz's name is a play on words created by her rescuer: "tu luz," meaning "your light," because she has such a sunny, delightful disposition. She is the epitome of the Labrador breed, with her gorgeous, sweet face and golden coat; add a beautiful white chest and paws, soulful brown eyes, elegant black eyeliner and tiny accents for eyebrows, and you have pretty much the perfect postcard pooch. Toluz's rescuer reports that she is housebroken, with nary an accident, and has great house manners! She is exceptional on leash, welcomes walks with rigorous tail wags, and is very calm - perfect for someone wanting a low maintenance dog. Toluz is affectionate, especially once she forms a bond with her human, and she loves to play with other dogs. She gets along with everyone, including cats, and is just a real crowd pleaser! Many of our volunteers who have walked and interacted with her have commented that she is just a perfect dog. Won't you let Toluz be "your light"? She is ready to shine!
