Bambi - Terrier Dog for Adoption in San Diego, California

Meet Bambi - aka Bam Bam! This fluffy little pittie mix is about 1 year old, 45 lbs, spayed, and ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for.

Bambi's story started out pretty rough. She was found as a tiny puppy in a Los Angeles junkyard, unable to use her back legs and with screws found in her stomach. She was likely the result of poor breeding that caused significant mobility issues, but thankfully, the amazing women at Women United for Animal Welfare (WUFAW) stepped in and completely sponsored her care. After months of therapy, love, and rehabilitation, Bambi has come an incredibly long way. She's up on all four legs and gets around just fine - she just has a little hitch in her giddy-up!

And if you're wondering whether her past has slowed her down emotionally... absolutely not. Bambi is a total social butterfly. She LOVES other dogs, adores people, and thinks pretty much everyone she meets is her new best friend. She was even a total star at Camp TAPpy Tails, where she charmed all the kiddos.

Bambi has spent the last few months at her foster home getting used to San Diego life, and she's officially ready for the next chapter. She's playful, loving, goofy, resilient, and so deserving of a family who will see past her little wobbly walk and recognize what everyone who meets her already knows:

Bambi is pretty damn special.

If you're looking for a happy, affectionate, dog-friendly girl who has overcome a lot and still greets the world with a wagging tail, Bam Bam might just be your girl.
