Callie is a 1-year-old Terrier mix who weighs around 22 pounds, and while she may be a little shy at first, she's already proving that beneath that cautious exterior is an incredibly sweet dog just waiting to blossom. A true boroughbred, Callie was rescued as a stray from the NYC municipal shelter and has been making wonderful progress since settling into her foster home.
It didn't take long for her personality to start shining through. After just a few days, Callie was happily rolling onto her back for belly rubs, gently hopping up for ear scratches, and sneaking in sweet little kisses. She's quickly learning the routines of home life and is discovering just how much fun walks, playtime, and mealtime can be. (Food is definitely one of her favorite things!)
Callie is good with other dogs and is working hard on her house-training, crate-training, and leash skills. She's looking for a patient adopter who will give her the time and encouragement to continue building her confidence. Watching Callie come out of her shell has been incredibly rewarding, and her forever family will have the joy of seeing that transformation continue every day.
Registered adopters interested in Callie can email adopt@hbrdogs.com for more info. If you're not registered yet, you can do it at hbrdogs.com.
