Meet Brumby - Your Next Adventure Buddy!

Meet Brumby! This handsome 4-year-old, 48-pound Australian Shepherd mix is equal parts sweetheart, curious explorer, and playful goofball!

Brumby has a wonderful balance of good manners and puppy-like enthusiasm. He loves frolicking around the yard, exploring new things, and playing with his foster siblings. He's social, friendly, and does a great job reading cues from both people and other dogs.

Here's what makes Brumby special:

- Dog-friendly: Plays nicely with his foster pack and respects other dogs' boundaries.
- Great on a leash: Enjoys walks and exploring.
- Appears potty trained: Doing great with his bathroom routine!
- Crate cooperative: Goes into his crate willingly, though he'd much rather be out enjoying life.
- Sweet and playful: Loves attention, adventures, and showing off occasional bursts of puppy energy.

Brumby would thrive with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and including their dog in everyday adventures. He's got the playful spirit of a younger dog with the good manners of a mature gentleman.

If you're looking for a sweet, happy companion who's always ready for a little fun, Brumby might just be your perfect match!

Brumby is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $275.00.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

The Australian Shepherd is a highly intelligent and energetic herding dog known for its loyalty and work ethic. Originating in the United States, despite its name, this breed is prized for its agility, trainability, and versatility in various dog sports and activities. Australian Shepherds have a distinctive medium length coat that comes in different colors, often with unique merle patterns. With proper training, socialization, and exercise, these dogs make excellent companions for active families and individuals seeking a devoted and playful four legged friend.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
