Meet Summer.

Summer is the kind of girl who doesnt know a stranger. She came to us alongside her four puppies, and even while being a protective mom, she has shown nothing but kindness to everyone she meets.

After being dumped in a Texas shelter, Summer deserves nothing less than a forever home where she can be loved, spoiled, and reminded every day just how special she is.

At just about 9 pounds and an estimated 2 years old, Summer is a tiny girl with a huge heart. She's ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own.

Her foster home is amazing and showing her all the things giving us the chance to learn the following so far:
She is working on leash training still but she is eager to learn and catching on quickly.

She is a traveled girly and has done well in car rides that let her end up at our events. Yes, she is a star at those too.

She loves other dogs and is confident around all sizes. She takes correction, reads body language, gives correction and plays well.

She is getting more confident in her crate training every day and we can wait to continue watching her thrive.

Her adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives (flea, tick, and heartworm), she is heartworm negative, multiple rounds of deworming, spay, and microchip. (If her forever home is found before 8/27, her home will be a foster to adopt that is responsible for taking her to her spay appointment in Irving Park neighborhood.)

Adopters must live in or within 3 hours of Chicago to be considered. Please only apply if your timeline allows you to take your new family member home the same week you are approved.
