While Hope is technically considered a senior, please don't let that label fool you. Hope is a petite lady when it comes to Giant Breed dogs, only weighing in at around 85lbs! She is in excellent physical condition and while she has some evidence of arthritis creeping in, she still gets slow-mo zoomies every day and loves rolling around on the ground and wrestling.
Hope does great with other dogs (though she can get grumpy with small, persistent puppies) and thrives the most when she can be curled up on the couch next to her person getting belly rubs and butt scratches and the occasional treat.
Hope is excellent on a leash, potty trained, and does phenomenal in a crate. She's an excellent passenger for car rides, and despite her breed, her drooling is very minimal. She's very good for grooming, and veterinary care, and all around a 10/10 social, perfect princess.
An ideal home for Hope would be somewhere where she can be loved and supported through her senior years. We'd love to see her go somewhere where her family will continue to keep her healthy and exercised so that she can live many more happy and healthy years bringing her family so much joy.
Her adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives (flea, tick, and heartworm), heartworm negative, spay and microchip. Adopters must live in or within 3 hours of Chicago to be considered. Please only apply if your timeline allows you to take your new family member home the same week you are approved.
