Luke Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin
Sweet Luke is currently waiting in a shelter in Alabama, and we’re hoping to find a foster or adopter so we can arrange his transport to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. His transport date is still to be determined, but once Luke has a committed home, we can work on getting his ride north.
Meet Luke
Luke is a 2.5-year-old Terrier mix who currently weighs 29 pounds. He came into the shelter through a local sheriff’s department alongside another dog. We’re still learning more about his story and why he ended up there, but one thing is already very clear: Luke is an incredibly sweet and people-loving boy who is ready for a fresh start.
If you’re a Jack Russell fan, Luke may be your kind of dog! He has the classic Jack Russell look and plenty of the personality to match. He is energetic, playful, curious, and absolutely loves being around his people.
Luke is extremely dog friendly and has done wonderfully with other dogs. He enjoys having canine friends and is always happy to make a new buddy. He is also very affectionate with people and tends to be a bit of a velcro dog. If you’re looking for a companion who wants to be by your side and soak up all the attention he can get, Luke could be your guy.
Luke was a little skinny when he first arrived at the shelter, but he has since filled out nicely and is now at a healthy 29 pounds. He is fully vetted and ready for his next chapter.
We are still getting to know Luke and will continue testing and learning more about him, including his comfort with cats and how he does with a crate. We’ll update his profile as we learn more.
