Meet Gigi Sailor Shortcake, a 5-month-old English Toy Terrier/Miniature Pinscher mix, weighing approx. 14.7 pounds (as of 6/26/26). This girl is from the SHORTCAKE litter and is also a mix of Australian Kelpie, Heeler and who knows what else! Just like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get! She was born as a stray on the streets of Mississippi, but she hopes to spend fur-ever with you!

If you're looking for an adventure puppy to explore the high seas, Gigi is the girl! But don't be fooled by her middle name. She may be a sailor, but her true calling is Captain and YOU are her first mate. In fact, her favorite activity is tug-of-war with ropes! This sweet girl loves adventure and exploring her surroundings. There's no treasure that she can't find and she'd like to keep it that way! Sailor also loves to play with other dogs and hopes they'll share her eagerness to play too. While she hasn't had experience with cats yet, she's done well with children. She might even have them wash the decks! Gigi is perfect for an active home that loves to try new things. She especially loves if you're around her all the time.

Her Momma Shyla is 18 pounds so we suspect she'll be around that size when fully grown. Gigi is doing well with a harness leash (though she's not a fan of it) and currently uses the crate 3 times a day for approx. 1.5 hours and sleeps in it at night. She also rides well in a car and knows commands like "sit," "potty," "stay" and "paw." She is afraid of thunderstorms and is still working on being comfortable at the vet (or nail trims), so she asks for your patience. She'll still need extra training for potty and obedience. For your help, she'll give you all the love your heart desires! Isn't that a fair trade-off?
