Calypso is one of the dogs who recently came into our care as part of an animal seizure case. Because she has only just arrived at the shelter, we are still getting to know her. We don't know much about Calypso's personality just yet, but we do know that she does well with other dogs.

Right now, the shelter is a very scary and overwhelming place for Calypso. She is understandably very timid and scared, and we believe it will take time, patience, and a quiet, loving environment for Calypso to begin feeling safe enough to show her true personality.

Some of the dogs from this case came to us very underweight and will need time to safely gain the weight they need. Potential adopters must be willing to follow our team's appropriate feeding instructions and understand that helping them get healthy will be an important part of their journey.

We know there is so much more to Calypso than what we are seeing right now. Behind those scared eyes is a dog who deserves the chance to learn what kindness, comfort, safety, and unconditional love truly feel like.

Calypso doesn't need someone to expect her to be perfect right away. She needs someone willing to be patient, give her time, and let trust grow at her own pace.
