Spaniel Dogs Available for Adoption in Acworth, Georgia

11 year old spaniel mix aprox 30 lbs. Someone forgot to tell Everleigh she was old! She jumps and plays around like a young dog. She loves her toys and she loves her people.

Everleigh was once a well loved pup. Her family fell on hard times, they had a hard time making ends meet and then they lost their home. Everleigh's mom was sleeping in her car with her two pets (Everleigh and Doss-5 year old Male cat). This was no way for anyone to live. The county was notified and Everleigh and Doss were taken to Animal Control where they were treated and caught up on vetting. Everleigh was underweight, peeing blood and had hair loss and a skin infection throughout her body. The owner "mom" was placed in temp housing, and was awaiting placement in an assisted living home, however her beloved pets would not be allowed to stay with her.

Animal control reached out, knowing we love our seniors and Doss and Everleigh came to rescue. We took her to the vet and was pleased to see improvements in her bloodwork and to find out that she was heartworm negative. 2 confirmation test later, she was still negative! She has some old girl stuff, a little clouding to the eyes and a little arthritis in her joints and back. She is on a daily dose of Caprofen for the inflammation.

She is good with other dogs, loves her kitty friends.

Everleigh is looking for a family that will take care of her during her golden years. She is quiet, loves to snuggle and just wants a lap to hang out on andd a few toys to carry around.

adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms ( dogs 7 months old and older) .
