Ruby - Mixed Breed Dog Available for Adoption in Acworth, Georgia

Ruby is a petite little pittie mix estimated to be about 2 years old and weighing 50-55 lbs.

Ruby is still coming out of her shell. She was rescued from Polk county about 2 weeks ago, but before that, she was part of a cruelty case. 5 adults were surrendered to the shelter, skinny and with signs that they recently had puppies. Reason listed for surrender: too many dogs!!!

She has since been spayed, tested negative for heartworms and updated on all of her vaccines. She has been getting two meals a day and starting to fill in a little.

She is estimated to be about 1.5 to 2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs now with a little more filling in to do.

She is crate trained, but still working on other basic skills. She acts as she had never walked on leash before and pulls with the greatest excitement wondering where she will go next, we doubt she had seen much outside of the fenced yard she originally came from.

She is a little reserved around new people, but perks up at the sound of young kids. If you get down on her level, she will curl up in your lap.

She has been great with the dogs she has met in her foster home, and enjoys having another dog to play with.

She is a little too interest in the barn cats, not sure if she would feel the same about a house cat.

She has developed a love of squeaky toys! She enjoys spending time with the family on the couch and learning about all of the things a loving home has to offer.

adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms.
