Meet Lucky
Lucky is a handsome young pup. Sadly, Lucky was hit by a car before coming to us. A wonderful vet donated her time and expertise to save Luckys leg. She then asked if we could help with Luckys rehabilitation and find him a forever home. We gave him the name Lucky because that's what he is. Lucky was lucky enough to find his way to a caring vet and then to us. Our team has been helping with his rehab and giving him all the love and socialization we can. In the process we've fallen in love.
Lucky is just five months old. He is a purebred husky. He has beautiful markings with different colored eyes. He is as sweet and gentle as they come. Luckys rehab included working with his injured leg to help the muscles grow strong. Lucky let us manipulate his leg without too much fuss. He let us pick him up and carry him as needed and he was such a trooper when he needed to walk on it (as prescribed by his vet). None of this was pain-free and Lucky never once got mad at us. He might have grumbled a bit, but not mad. Huskies can be very dramatic. Lol! Instead, Lucky loved the attention. He loved getting pets and scratches. He shows his belly for a good belly rub. He leans into his people. He is friendly to all he meets. Lucky is healing well. He walks easily, if slowly, on a leash. He likes other dogs, although he's not been able to play or do much with them. Lucky can talk, like most huskies. He loves a good chat. Once his leg heals, he should be right as rain. Huskies are gorgeous dogs, but keep in mind they need exercise, they can wander, and they can be dramatic in an endearing way. Huskies need room to run, and they need a family or person committed to their well-being. Lucky will need a fenced containment yard. He doesn't like being left alone. If left for long, he will find things to entertain himself. Huskies are smart and curious and want to be full time companions. Lucky is a gem. He's been through so much already and he's ready for a loving home with people who will keep him safe. Will that be you?
