Meet Magnolia

Magnolia has captured our hearts. Rescued from a high kill shelter, Magnolia has been a gem since she arrived. We don't know a lot about her past except that she was picked up wandering the streets.

Magnolia is about 1.5 years old. She is thought to be a white boxer/terrier mix, although she seems more boxer. She has the most precious underbite and while she looks like she is pouting, she's a super happy and outgoing young pup. Magnolia is 44 lbs. of love and fun. She is well-socialized, silly, and playful. She is an easy walk on the leash and loves strolling around. She is perfect for those neighborhood walks, hikes in the hills, or breakfast at the local coffee house. She loves playing with water and a hose is quite a treat. Magnolia likes people and loves attention. She'd probably do well with kids and she does great with cats. Magnolia tested well with other pups at the shelter where she was before us. When we tested her with some of our pups, she had a mixed reaction. She wasn't aggressive, shed sniff and move on. We're not quite sure what she prefers, and it will be a matter of testing her with a potential adopter's dog. She is super chill, but when you're ready to go, Magnolia is ready to go with you. She'll make for a great ride-along-dog. She has the cutest, high-pitched bark, a bark that you wouldn't expect out of a little girl like her. But we guarantee it will make you smile. Magnolia is not yet housetrained, but she is smart and with some consistency she would learn what to do. She is a pleaser and just wants to be loved. She is affectionate, friendly, gentle, and sweet. This girl will grace your heart and home with laughter and love. She is a little gem.

All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. The boxer is a medium to large sized dog breed known for its muscular build, distinctive square head, and energetic personality. Boxers are loyal, affectionate, and good natured companions, making them an ideal family pet. They are intelligent, playful, and love to be around people, making them excellent with children. Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.
