Meet Leah

This beauty was found by one of our adopters and her two new kitties were not happy to have a new family addition so she asked if we could take her in. Of course we could! Leah is about a year old, a beautiful grey long haired tabby (Maybe part Maine Coon) with luxurious silky hair. It's hard to capture her unique features in a picture, she has the flat, regal nose of a lion and the fluffiest of tails like a squirrel!

It's taken her a few months to settle in, but since moving her from the antics of the kitten room to the quieter adult room, she is quickly learning to trust and love. She's a little timid at first but once she gets to know you, she's a very sweet little kitty. She loves to play with toys, crawl through tunnels, and play with hanging toys and laser pointers. Leah would do great with a gentle kitty friend or as an only cat. It has been so much fun watching her come out of her shell and learn to trust and love.

Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.n.
