Meet Autumn Renee!

Autumn Renee is an approximately 2-year-old, 11-pound Shih Tzu who is the definition of sugar, spice, and everything nice! This darling little lady has a gentle soul, an easygoing personality, and a face that makes it nearly impossible to say no to her. And honestly, why would you want to?

Autumn Renee's journey into rescue began when she was found wandering the streets of St. Louis, Missouri, all on her own. Thankfully, a kindhearted Good Samaritan spotted her, brought her to safety, and cared for her throughout her stray hold, giving her the chance to be reunited with her family. When that didn't happen, this sweet girl found herself on a new journey—one that we hope ends with a forever family who will treasure her for the rest of her life.
And let us tell you, whoever adopts this little lady is going to hit the jackpot!

Autumn Renee is the kind of dog who makes companionship look effortless. She's incredibly quiet, laid-back, and easygoing. She doesn't need to be the center of attention, create chaos, or have a packed social calendar. She's perfectly content just being near her people, enjoying the simple pleasures in life—especially a good nap and a tasty treat!

Speaking of naps, Autumn Renee has apparently mastered the fine art of relaxation. She enjoys a nice walk on her leash, but if given the choice between a grand adventure and a cozy place to curl up for a snooze, we're pretty sure the nap is going to win every time!

Her house manners are equally impressive! She's kennel trained, hasn't had a single potty accident in the house, and walks nicely on a leash. She's the type of companion who fits so naturally into your day that you'll wonder how you ever lived without her.

And for anyone familiar with the movie Gremlins, we have some very important news to share.

You know that whole rule about never getting them wet? Well, we decided to put Autumn Renee to the test, and we're happy to report that no gremlins were created in the bathing of this Shih Tzu! She simply emerged as an adorable, slightly soggy, extra-snuggly little dog. Crisis averted!

Autumn Renee isn't asking for much in life. A cozy bed, a loving lap, a few yummy treats, and someone to remind her every day that she's safe, wanted, and home. In return, she'll bring a quiet kind of happiness, endless sweetness, and the comforting companionship that only a truly special dog can give.
This little lady is an absolute treasure, and we think she's going to make the perfect partner for just about anyone looking for a sweet, mellow, affectionate best friend.
From wandering the streets to hopefully warming someone's heart and lap forever, Autumn Renee deserves a happily ever after as lovely as she is.

Tax-deductible adoption fee: $600

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm and fecal tested, and examined by our veterinarian to assess their overall health. We are committed to providing comprehensive veterinary care based on each dog's individual needs. Additional medical care, including dental procedures, treatment of ear infections, specialty veterinary appointments, and other necessary treatments, is provided as needed on a case-by-case basis prior to adoption. Our goal is to address each dog's medical needs and ensure they are as healthy and comfortable as possible before beginning their new life with their forever family.

Every adopted dog also goes home with a collar, leash, toy, two bowls, and copies of their medical records and microchip information.
