Petey – 4 Years Old | Shih Tzu Mix

Petey is a lively, fun-loving 4-year-old Shih Tzu mix who’s ready to bring joy (and a little bit of sass!) into the right home. With his abundant energy and playful spirit, Petey thrives in an active household where he can be part of the action.

Petey does great with other small dogs and would love a canine companion to romp around with. While his history with cats is unknown, he may do well with slow, supervised introductions. One thing to know about Petey—he’s got opinions, and he isn’t shy about sharing them! Because of his frequent barking, he’s not suited for apartment living.

Petey is not yet potty-trained, so his future family must be committed to starting crate training from square one. Consistency and patience will be key to helping him succeed. For that reason, Petey will do best with a younger, active family ready to invest time in training and structure.

In return, Petey promises to be a playful, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling every day. He is up-to-date on all vaccines and preventative care, microchipped, and available as a foster-to-adopt until after his neuter appointment.

With a weight of around 7 pounds, Yorkies are portable and adaptable, thriving in both city apartments and rural settings. Despite their small size, they possess a bold and confident nature, always ready for fun and adventure.
