DESCRIPTION
Meet Zuri, a joyful 1-year-old pit bull mix with a heart as big as her smile! This sweet, playful girl is the kind of dog who instantly wins over everyone she meets. Zuri is full of energy and always ready for her next adventure—whether that’s a long walk, a game of fetch, or zooming around with her dog friends.
She gets along well with other dogs and absolutely loves having playmates to run and wrestle with. While it’s not yet known how Zuri feels about cats, slow and thoughtful introductions will be key if she joins a home with feline companions.
Zuri is not just fun—she’s also very smart. With a little guidance and obedience training, she has all the potential to grow into a well-mannered, amazing companion. She’s eager to learn and would thrive with a family who can provide structure, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement.
Most of all, Zuri is looking for a loving home where she can soak up all the attention and affection she deserves. If you’re searching for a loyal, energetic, and endlessly sweet best friend, Zuri might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $100
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
