You've met Scooby Doo but now meet Scooby Two! He's a 3-year-old American Bulldog / Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, weighing 60 pounds (as of 4/27/26). Poor Scooby was found malnourished in Tennessee when he was surrendered by his owner. That's certainly no good for a food loving, mystery-solving dog! Scooby can't wait to join a groovy family and find his Shaggy!
Scooby has a warm sandy-tan coat and an even warmer personality to match. This well-mannered boy is the definition of a gentle companion: easygoing, affectionate, and always happy to be by your side. Except when he's running away from ghosts. Scooby gets along wonderfully with both cats and other dogs, making him a great fit for a multi-pet home. While he hasn't had experience with kids yet, he hopes they won't get in trouble for meddling!
He has a calm, loving nature and thrives on companionship, whether it’s relaxing at your feet or joining you for a stroll through a haunted house. He's also a smart cookie who knows commands, so he'll be ready to unmask any suspicious monster that comes your way (though he might need to eat some Scooby Snacks first to work up the courage!) He's house-trained, crate-trained and still working on getting used to his leash. Scooby’s sweet temperament and friendly spirit make him the kind of dog who wins hearts wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a loyal, good-natured best friend, Scooby is ready to be your guy. Spooky monsters are no match for Scooby Two!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
