A Little Guy with Lots of Personality

Meet Bolt, a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing approximately 30 lbs, arriving into our care from our rescue partners on September 5th.

Bolt is a good boy who can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality shines through and he happily welcomes pets and attention. He is good with other dogs, house trained, and crate trained.

Bolt has a high energy level and loves staying busy! He enjoys chasing lizards and insects, going for long walks, and exploring new surroundings. He currently knows the command sit and will need a family who is excited to continue working with him and teaching him new things.

Bolt's previous family had children and reported that he did well with kids, but because his current foster does not have young children, we would recommend a proper introduction with children in his new home.

Bolt has tested negative for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis. He is looking for a patient family who will give him the time he needs to feel safe and let his wonderful personality come out.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
