Sandy has been in the 716 for a while, but she's only recently discovered the joys of living in a foster home—and she's embracing family life with all the enthusiasm of a happy puppy! Just look at that sweet shepherd face and those incredible ears!
Sandy's Excellent Qualities:
HOUSE-TRAINED: She knows that outside is where she does her business—ZERO accidents!
DOG-FRIENDLY: Sandy respects her older foster brother...even if she steals all his toys!
CRATE TRAINING: A work in progress, because Sandy currently prefers sleeping in the human bed—and she sleeps soundly all night!
AFFECTIONATE: She loves her foster mom and dad, although Mom may have a slight advantage because she serves the meals!
TREAT-MOTIVATED: Sandy is eager to learn and takes treats very gently.
OUTDOOR GIRL: She loves quiet walks through parks and trails. A fenced yard for zoomies would be a dream!
PROFESSIONAL ENTERTAINER: Give her some toys and she'll happily amuse herself—and everyone watching!
Sandy is still learning about the world. Busy streets, loud cars and garbage trucks can make her nervous, so she needs a patient family willing to help build her confidence. She may not be ready to go everywhere with you immediately, but she isn't afraid to keep learning!
Sandy is not recommended for a home with cats due to her prey drive. She has not yet been around children.
