Meet Lyra! This energetic, curious girl is an affectionate little adventurer who loves exploring every corner of the house. When she’s not busy investigating something new, she’s happy to curl up for plenty of snuggles and cuddles. Lyra is also very food motivated and loves a good challenge, whether she’s working away at a Kong or solving a food puzzle. She’s playful, endlessly curious, and always ready to see what fun comes next!

Lyra is a smart and fast-learning puppy who has already picked up sit, stay, catch, and going into her crate on command in just a week. She loves short training sessions, especially when treats are involved, and thrives with structure and consistency. She does well in busy environments and is friendly and playful when meeting new people. She’s also friendly when seeing other dogs on walks and previously lived with cats, doing well with them. Given her young age, she could adapt well to a home with dogs, cats, or children. She’s still learning her leash skills and tends to pull toward people, small animals, and anything else that catches her attention. She may also try to turn her leash into a chew toy when she gets excited, but she’s responsive to redirection and eager to learn.

Like any young puppy, Lyra is still figuring out how to manage all that energy! She may bark for a few minutes when bored or after an activity ends, and she’s still learning that the mop and vacuum cleaner are not out to get her. She’s working on her house training and is very comfortable in her crate, happily napping for two to three hours during the day and showing no signs of separation anxiety. She may whine briefly when first placed in her playpen but settles on her own. Lyra would thrive with an active family who can provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, training, and outdoor adventures. She’s a goofy, affectionate, incredibly smart puppy with tons of potential, and with the right guidance, she’ll be a wonderful companion for years to come!
