Meet Tag! This charming boy has plenty of personality and is never shy about letting you know what he wants. He loves to cuddle and will happily tuck his head under your hand when he’s ready for pets. He’s also a big fan of squeaky toys, Kongs, and anything involving chicken. Tag is playful, food motivated, and just a little spicy - his enthusiastic play style and expressive nature are all part of his charm.

Tag is a friendly, affectionate boy who currently lives with another dog and happily shares his toys with his canine sibling. He enjoys meeting other dogs on walks and is generally easygoing on leash, although his love of sniffing and saying hello to dogs can lead to some pulling. Squirrels are another story, and he’ll try to chase small animals when given the opportunity. He’s house trained and settles very well when he’s out of his crate, happily moving between the couch, dog bed, window, and wherever his people happen to be. He’s also a great work-from-home companion and is usually quiet enough to let his people get through the day without interruption.

Tag is friendly with new people and loves meeting neighbours and guests, although he prefers to approach strangers on his own terms. Once he decides you’re a friend, he’ll happily demand some pets! He can be a little vocal when he’s excited or wants something, and he may bark briefly at hallway activity or dogs barking outside, but he’s becoming quieter as he gets used to new sounds. He’s still working on feeling comfortable in his crate and may be quite dramatic when the door is first closed, but he settles within about 20 minutes and has successfully stayed home for several hours without any issues. Tag would do best with older, experienced kids who can understand his expressive personality and respect his boundaries.
