Hi, I'm Koa!

I traveled all the way from Texas to Buffalo in search of something I've never really had before... a family and a home of my very own.

You see, I spent part of my young life living on the streets, so this whole “being a dog in a house” thing is still pretty new to me. But WOW, am I learning!

I've already discovered that couches are AMAZING, bones are basically the greatest invention ever, and snuggling up next to my human might just be my favorite thing in the whole world.

Here's a little more about me:

I LOVE playing with other dogs!
I live with cats — and honestly, I'm more scared of them than they are of me!
I'm working hard on potty training.
I'm learning basic commands and getting better every day.
I take my treats very gently like the good girl I am.
I'm working on crate training. It still scares me, so I may cry for a little while, but eventually I settle down and fall asleep.
I've been around little kids, but I'm still learning the polite way to say hello. Sometimes my excitement gets the best of me!

I've already come so far from the little girl who was living on the streets of Texas. I just need a patient family who will continue showing me that I'm safe, loved, and finally HOME.
