You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Odessa arrived from the city pound on 5/8/2026 when her legal stray hold was finished. She is a very nice girl who looks to be a husky/shepherd type mix, although there could be other breeds mixed in. She currently weighs 38 pounds and we think she's around a year old. Odessa will be vet checked and spayed on May 20th and her fee is $150.
Odessa is a young dog who will need some basic training. She is fairly well mannered and is bright and eager to please. She is a very active dog who will need regular exercise. We do think she'd be okay with other dogs and kids. She is also young enough to learn to interact appropriately with cats.
NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.
We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
