Meet Monroe! This handsome boy arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on 5/26, and sadly, no one has come to take him home. We're surprised he hasn't been reclaimed, as Monroe appears to have been well cared for—his coat is shiny, clean, and beautiful. The volunteers describe Monroe as a sweet and friendly dog who can be a little shy when first meeting new people. It's understandable, considering how loud and overwhelming the shelter can be. Once he has a chance to settle in, Monroe's gentle personality begins to shine through. One of Monroe's favorite parts of the day is getting out for his walks, and he has lovely leash manners. He enjoys spending time with people and is sure to blossom even more in a loving home. Monroe is ready to leave shelter life behind and start his next chapter with a family of his own. Monroe is approximately 4 years old, and weighs 37 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Monroe is waiting patiently in kennel 50; his ID # is 19329.
