Coconut - Schnauzer Dog for Adoption in Bothell, Washington

COCONUT

Schnauzer
🇺🇸
Bothell, Washington
July 6th
female, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Animal Information: Coconut is an approximately 1-year-old female Schnauzer mix who weighs about 12 pounds. She arrived at the shelter with her sister when their family had to move and was unable to take them along.

This sweet girl has quickly won over both the staff and her canine companions. Coconut is friendly, social, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. After her sister found a home, Coconut joined a kennel with several small dogs and fit right in, making friends with everyone she met.

With her loving personality and easygoing nature, Coconut is ready to find a family of her own.

Foster Profile: Coconut has settled in really well in foster care. She does great in her crate and hasn't had any accidents as long as she's on a consistent potty schedule.

She loves running around and playing with the three other dogs in the house—a large male Doberman, a German Pinscher, and a Chihuahua mix. She's also been very sweet with the two dog-respectful kids in the home, ages 21⁄2 and 7.

Coconut has come a long way with her confidence on leash, but I think she'd be happiest in a quieter suburban home without all the constant city noise.

She's not much of a barker, but she does make the cutest little happy growls and "woo-woos" when her people come home. She's had no issues with the other dogs, though she'll let them know if she'd rather not be bothered while she's relaxing in her bed.

She rides well in the car and, while she's a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly if they're patient and let her come to them. Once she feels comfortable, she's a really sweet, easy little dog.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).

Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus Animal Services in Modesto, CA. She will be transferred via START arriving to foster care on 6/11/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
