Meet Leroy Brown, a five-year-old Rottie mix weighing 77 pounds.
Leroy Brown may have a tough-looking name, but this big guy is nothing but a lovable, doofy sweetheart.
Leroy came to us wearing a thick, heavy chain around his neck—one that appeared to have been there for quite some time. The hair loss, callouses, and injuries along the back of his neck told us more than we ever wanted to know about his past. He also arrived with painful ear infections and wounds on his ears from constant scratching, which he has since received treatment for. To top it all off, Leroy came to us covered in oil.
We can’t know exactly what his life looked like before coming into our care, but the clues paint a heartbreaking picture. It’s likely that he spent much of his recent life chained outside without the medical care he desperately needed. Yet somehow, Leroy has remained friendly, curious, and full of love for the people around him.
This goofy boy absolutely loves his walks and is always interested in exploring the world around him. He’s the kind of dog who can make you smile just by being himself—sweet, curious, a little doofy, and so happy to have people in his life.
Leroy’s past may have been rough, but he’s ready for a future filled with soft beds, good walks, proper care, and people who will never let him down again.
And if you’re a Rottie lover, prepare yourself—Leroy Brown is exactly the kind of big-hearted, lovable goofball you’ve been waiting for.
