Lovey - Rottweiler and Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in San Diego, California

Meet Lovey – A Lifetime of Love Waiting for a Place to Land

Some dogs spend their whole lives being loved. Others spend their lives waiting for someone to love them. Meet Lovey, a sweet girl who’s finally ready for her turn.

At 6–7 years old, Lovey has spent much of her life surviving on the streets. We don’t know everything she’s been through, but we do know one thing for certain: somehow, through it all, she never lost her ability to love.

And boy, does this girl LOVE!

Lovey earned her name because she is quite possibly one of the most affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet. She absolutely adores people and has so much love to give. She’s easygoing, gets along well with other dogs, and is already house-trained. She’s past the puppy chaos and is perfectly happy enjoying the simple pleasures in life: a soft bed, a gentle hand, a little companionship, and knowing she belongs somewhere.

We think Lovey would be an especially wonderful companion for a retired couple or just someone looking for a loyal, loving friend to share their days with. She’s not asking for grand adventures or a busy social calendar. She just wants to be near her people, soak up affection, and finally experience what it means to be someone’s cherished family member.

She’s ready to trade the streets for a sofa, uncertainty for security, and lonely nights for a home filled with love.

Lovey is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever family.

Could you be the happy ending she’s been waiting for?
