We at Abby Road Rescue and sister rescue Furry Sidekick Rescue are honored to be working alongside Karen Perl, who has worked tirelessly to save dogs in need. While these dogs are not directly in our rescue care, we are courtesy posting on her behalf to help them find the loving homes they deserve.

Ruger is a neutered rottie mix weighing 65-70lbs vet thinks 2-3yoa. He was found with his buddy Rudy on the streets here in the Texas heat. Poor guy someone turned him out and he was trying to survive our heat. Then to make matters worse packs of dogs were attacking him and his little buddy Rudy. He would not leave Rudy behind and stood and defended him. We got him off the street and fully vetted. He loves to be indoors with you and be fed and loved. Leaving that awful street life behind him. He had wounds that are all healed and he is the most handsome guy! He is dog friendly both male and female. He has not been cat tested. He is a bit shy at first but if he trusts you he warms up quickly. He is crate trained, potty trained, and medium energy. He walks well on a leash and enjoys cuddle times on the couch. He has no anxiety riding in the car and no food aggression as he knows he gets to eat regularly! He is learning his commands but would do well with a fenced yard—probably not a good apartment dog! His forever home could be a family with school age children or a couple or a single person. He just wants to be included and loved by his family on a daily basis!

On behalf of Karen Perl, the adoption fee is $350. Transport can be arranged after the adoption is finalized. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee will remain the same. Thank you so much for your valuable support in helping these dogs find loving homes.
