We at Abby Road Rescue and sister rescue Furry Sidekick Rescue are honored to be working alongside Karen Perl, who has worked tirelessly to save dogs in need. While these dogs are not directly in our rescue care, we are courtesy posting on her behalf to help them find the loving homes they deserve.

Pepper is a 3-4 yo neutered black male lab mix. This poor baby was found wondering the streets in Houston heat. He was taken in by a street feeder who then was going to be evicted from her home unless she got rid of all her dogs so poor Pepper had to go. We said we will take him and he came to live with me. This guy is such a sweetheart boy. He just wants to be with you and hang out. He is up to date on shots, microchipped, potty trained, and crate trained. He had heartworm treatment and sailed through it without any complications. He is maintained on monthly preventions. He has the cutest running pattern as he gallops around in the yard. He is dog friendly to both male and female dogs and to small, medium, and large dogs. He is not officially cat tested but seems to have the personality that he would be good with a kitty. He is medium to average energy- definitely not a higher energy dog. He loves his food, his treats, and his cuddles. He knows his commands and rides well in the car. He likes to go for car rides, errands, whatever, he just likes to go in the car. No anxiety in the car and no anxiety when left alone at home. He would do great being an only dog or having a forever home with a doggie buddy. He would be a great family dog or with a couple or a single person. He would love being included in whatever the family is doing! He needs his forever home and is so deserving as such a sweet good boy!!!!!

On behalf of Karen Perl, the adoption fee is $350. Transport can be arranged after the adoption is finalized. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee will remain the same. Thank you so much for your valuable support in helping these dogs find loving homes.
