Caramella is a 3.5 year old, 58 lb female Retriever/Shepherd mix breed.

Caramella is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to her new home.

Caramella was a young mom in distress when she was rescued, but this tough pup survived emergency surgery that saved her and her pups, and was a great mommy. All of her pups found their own homes, and Caramella is more than ready to go out on her own as well. Her foster mom says she is sweet and affectionate, and enjoys gentle belly rubs, having her blonde coat brushed and getting some ear rubs too. Caramella arrived practically house trained and absolutely loves going out on walks. She doesn't live with kids but has met up with older children on her frequent outings and done very well with them. In a prior foster home, Caramella did not get along with the resident dogs, so she would do best as the only dog at home. Caramella has actually been around other dogs in a dog park, and she did just fine outdoors, but it seems like in "her" home, she would prefer to be the only dog - more loving for her. At home, Caramella is very much a couch potato and would love to just nap a good part of the day away, so she would be great with an adopter who is away during the day. Caramella dreams of a loving home of her very own, so let us know if this sweet girl is the solo companion you've searched for.

Our organization only adopts within the United States and Canada.
