Chowder is a 10 week old, 9 lb male Retriever/Collie mix.

Chowder is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to his new home.

Cuteness alert!! Chowder is in the house and he is definitely ready for his closeup! This cutie patootie is soft and fluffy and oh so cuddly. They came to us from an unsafe area that was just not going to work for two tiny little orphan puppies. Chowder shares his foster home with his smaller sister Chickpea and the two are just amazing little puppies. They play and harass each other, insist on chewing on the same toy despite having a ton of options in their playpen, and then they snuggle up together for a nice nap. Their fosters report they are doing well with potty training, using pads and also going outside, though at their age they are too young to do more than potty outdoors. They are also learning some basic obedience and know how to sit, shake and lay down. Chowder is a little braver than his sis. He tries to play with the big dogs in the house but they're not having it; still, he gets an A for effort! Chowder can be a chatty pup, he may have a smidge of husky in him, we don't know. We do know he is about as cute as a puppy can be, so ask to meet this little guy soon - we know you will fall in love! (Note: Chowder is not yet neutered but will be prior to transport)

Our organization only adopts within the United States and Canada.

Faith and Hope is an established rescue group based in Texas but delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and others, with placement in their adoptive familys homes. Our $700 adoption fee includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), spay/neuter, microchip and transportation.

The retriever is a beloved dog breed known for its friendly demeanor, intelligence, and exceptional ability to retrieve objects. With a loyal and gentle nature, retrievers make excellent family pets and are popular choices for service and therapy work. These dogs excel in obedience training and activities such as agility and hunting. Recognized for their shiny coats and moderate size, retrievers come in various colors including golden, Labrador, and Chesapeake Bay. Their overall versatility and affectionate personalities make them cherished companions in many households.
