Nixie is a 5.5 month old, 27 lb female Retriever mix.

Nixie is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to her new home.

Nixie the Pixie may be a bit shy upon first glance, but her little heart is big and full of love. She shared her first foster home with her sister, Nancy Wheeler, and the two were like most puppies: playful and curious one moment, sleepy and snuggly the next. Nixie grew up with cats and does well with them, and she also enjoys the company of children. She loves balls and squeaky toys, and puppy safe things to chew on. Nixie is now in her new foster home with a very large backyard where she can zoom to her hearts content, and some new doggy foster siblings to play with as well. Nixie is a little smaller than her sister, and her fur is bicolored so she looks black but is more of a reddish brown in the sun. And a tiny bit of white on the little paws. She is crate trained and potty trained too, and does an excellent job of alerting when it's potty time. This sweet girl was rescued as a stray puppy, dumped alongside her sister, but she deserves so much more. Nixie is a perfect size to go with you on all your adventures, so ask to meet this cutie pie today; we know she will blossom into the best doggy friend you could hope for!

Faith and Hope is an established rescue group based in Texas but delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and others, with placement in their adoptive familys homes. Our $700 adoption fee includes all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), spay/neuter, microchip and transportation.
