Brew - Redbone Coonhound and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption

Meet Brew! He is a 4 year old, 65lb Redbone Coonhound mix who has a sweet, calm demeanor. This handsome boy is crate trained, fully house trained, and knows sit, stay, and go lie down. He is good with big and small dogs, children, and walks well on leash.

Brew is intelligent, and treat motivated. At home, he is eager to play, and loves a good cuddle on the couch. He loves chew toys, squeaky things, and greenies. His favorite part of the day is going out for exercise on his walks and runs, and meeting every dog and human along the way. His trademark velvety ears are pure heaven, coming in a close second to a tail that rarely stops wagging.

Brew is eager to find his forever home. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, and snuggly companion, Brew is for you!

Brew is currently being fostered in Brooklyn, NY. His adoption fee is $500.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.

The Redbone Coonhound is a versatile and intelligent hunting dog known for its striking red coat and endurance in the field. Bred in the United States, these dogs excel at tracking and treeing game, particularly raccoons. Their melodious bay is distinctive, making them valuable in hunting competitions and search and rescue operations. Redbone Coonhounds are loyal, affectionate companions, but require regular exercise and mental stimulation to thrive in a family setting.

VISION To help rescue more animals, more quickly, by working in a positive, professional and collaborative way with our community....
