Meet Pugsy
It’s hard to imagine the living conditions Pugsy came from. He survived a life no dog should ever have to experience, and now we want him to learn what it feels like to truly belong.
Pugsy is about 3 years old, 30 pounds, and heartworm negative. He is the shyest of the group of 3, but there is such a sweet little dog hiding behind that uncertainty.
One thing we already know is that Pugsy loves other dogs. Being around them seems to give him comfort and confidence. A home with a friendly, confident dog could be exactly what he needs to help him learn that people can be safe, too.
Pugsy doesn’t need to spend his days in a kennel. He needs a quiet, patient home where he can decompress, feel safe, and finally discover what being someone’s dog is supposed to feel like.
He may not be the dog who immediately runs up and asks for attention. He may need you to give him a little time. But sometimes the dogs who have been through the most become the ones who love us the deepest once they realize they’re finally home.
