Meet Funtik, an adorable two-year-old grey Poodle and Schnauzer mix with a gentle heart, a goofy personality, and a whole lot of love to give.

Funtik's story began before he was even born. His mother, Bali, was rescued from an illegal shelter in Azerbaijan where 35 dogs were being kept without proper food or clean water. Pregnant at the time of her rescue, Bali gave birth to Funtik in the safety of GWARP's care.

At Good World Animal Rescue and Protection (GWARP), we rescue vulnerable, abandoned, and neglected animals, including those other rescues may turn away. We provide the care they need and help them find loving homes, often bringing them thousands of kilometres from Azerbaijan to begin new lives with families in Canada.

And Funtik is more than ready for his next chapter.

This sweet little fellow absolutely loves people. He's affectionate, curious, playful, and wonderfully goofy, with the kind of friendly personality that makes everyone he meets feel like an old friend. He enjoys attention, welcomes affection, and is perfectly comfortable being handled.

Despite his playful nature, Funtik also has a lovely, quiet side. He's gentle and easygoing, with a temperament that makes him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a little dog who can bring both laughter and sweetness into everyday life.

Funtik gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and children of all ages. He's house-trained, neutered, and fully vaccinated, and he's ready to become a much-loved member of a family.

What makes Funtik's story especially touching is that he has known kindness from the very beginning, thanks to the people who gave his mother a second chance. Now he's ready for all the experiences that come with having a family of his own: neighbourhood walks, playtime, cosy afternoons, and people who are delighted to see him every day.

Funtik's adoption fee is $2,000 USD, which reflects the considerable cost of preparing and transporting a rescue dog from Azerbaijan to Canada.
