Meet Loki, a one-year-old Canaan Dog mix originally rescued from Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic where countless animals are left to fend for themselves without protection or care. We rescue these deserving dogs and bring them to Canada so they can finally experience the safety, love, and happy future they deserve.

Loki hasn't had the easiest start in life. He was found as a stray in the Ter region of Azerbaijan with serious injuries to his neck. He needed veterinary treatment, antibiotics, and time to recover. Thankfully, with proper care and attention, his injuries healed completely, and he's now a happy, healthy young dog ready to find a family of his own.

You might expect a dog who's been through so much to be a little cautious around people, but Loki seems to have decided that humans are pretty wonderful. He's affectionate, friendly, and loves being fussed over. He enjoys attention, is comfortable being handled, and has a goofy personality that makes him an absolute pleasure to be around.

Loki is the kind of dog who makes ordinary moments entertaining. He's playful, curious, and always seems to find a reason to be happy. Whether he's spending time with other dogs or enjoying some affection from his caregivers, he approaches life with an enthusiasm that's hard not to love.

He's also a wonderfully social little guy. Loki gets along well with other dogs and cats, and he's lovely with children. His easygoing nature makes him a good candidate for a variety of households, whether that's a family with children, a home with other pets, or someone looking for a sweet companion to share their days with.

At just one year old, Loki has so much of his life ahead of him. He would love a family who will play with him, give him plenty of affection, and let him be part of their everyday activities.
