Poodle and Schnoodle Dogs Available for Adoption in Meriden, Connecticut

Meet our adorable little lady named Pixel! Pixel is about 6 years old and she was surrendered to our shelter because her owner could no longer care for her and the other dogs in the home. Pixel and 3 other dogs were surrendered to us at the same time. We are told they are all Poodle and Schnauzer mixes. The other 3, that you can see in some of the photos, are her female daughters and her male companion that she has always lived with. Pixel is a very happy and playful little dog who loves everyone! She is fine being picked up and carried around. She only weighs about 10 lbs and she is fully grown. Pixel and the others all have hair that will need regular professional grooming. We are requiring any potential adopters have experience owning dogs that need this. Pixel is good with dogs and cats. She can go to a home with children 10 years old and older. Pixel can be adopted into the same home with any of the other dogs she came in to our shelter with.

You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.

ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
