Pit Bull Terrier and Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption in Meriden, Connecticut

Meet our sweet senior girl named Aquarius! Aquarius was surrendered to us after her owners could no longer care for her. She is about 10 years old, but she is still a spry and playful girl! When Aquarius came to us she was quite skinny, but she is gaining some much needed weight now. She is a very food motivated girl who already knows how to sit and lay down for a cookie. Aquarius had a senior blood panel done, and her results came back fine. She is negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases. Aquarius is a friendly girl who doesn't deserve to sit in a kennel. All she wants is a loving home and a soft bed to lay on. Aquarius is fine with other dogs and she tested non reactive in our cat room. She can go to a home with children 12 years and older.

You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
