Trucker - Pomeranian and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Plain City, Ohio

Trucker is full of love and ready to bring a smile to your face! This cute boy weighs 17 pounds, we think is around 5 years old and probably a Pomeranian mix! He is house and crate trained and knows basic commands.

Trucker is in a foster currently and loves toys, naps, being near his human, walks, trying to chase squirrels, playing with the resident dog (plays like a herding breed), and being picked up or handled. Since his foster does not have a yard we are unsure how he is in a fenced space, he does have some hops though!

Truck loves anyone who will give him scritches but will bark at them at first before settling in to get all the loving. He knows sit and down, is potty trained and does well in his crate! He has had no accidents, settles in his crate (will whine some), but he really would love to sleep in bed with you, he also has not chewed anything, does well in car, generally he honestly is a very chill companion.

Trucker does have a little spice to him. He will resource guard food around animals, but has not with humans. He has had reactions to his foster's resident dog and cat if they get in his space when he's under the bed or sleeping on the bed and caught off guard, but otherwise does great with them. The grumpy cat even lets Trucker walk up to him and they hangout near each other. Due to his resource guarding & instances of reactivity, Trucker would do best as an only pet or with an experienced dog owner who is willing to put training into him he could join a pack.

We are just as curious as you are on where he got the pink and purple coloring but a groomer did feel it would fade out in 6-8 weeks. This little boy was found abandoned so we assume the coloring came from his past home.
