Meet Chi Chi!

Small dog, big ears, and very particular about her wardrobe!

Chi Chi is an adorable little Chihuahua who is about a year old and weighs just under 10 pounds. She came to Canine Collective from a hoarding situation along with her buddies Bowie and Scruffy. Of the three, Chi Chi was the shyest, but this little girl has been making wonderful progress!

Initially frightened and unsure of her new surroundings, Chi Chi has gradually discovered that people can be pretty wonderful! She's especially comfortable with the people she's come to know and trust, but she's also becoming more accepting of new faces, particularly when they approach her gently and let her take things at her own pace. She's even learned to walk on a leash! For a little girl who started out so timid, those are some big accomplishments!

And we've discovered something else about Chi Chi: she absolutely LOVES being cuddled up in a cozy blanket! Whether she's snuggled against someone or tucked into a soft, warm blanket, this little girl knows how to make herself comfortable.

Like many Chihuahuas, Chi Chi isn't particularly fond of the cold. Fortunately, she's perfectly willing to wear a nice, well-fitting sweater. Designer labels are preferred, of course, but she might be persuaded to accept something off the rack.

Chi Chi is still building her confidence, so she'll appreciate a patient, loving family who will give her time to settle in and continue discovering how wonderful life can be. In return, they'll get an adorable little companion who is learning that being loved and pampered is a pretty terrific way to live.
