Meet Louie, a 6-year-old Pomeranian with a truly golden heart and a personality that shines just as bright. This little guy absolutely adores people—he’s happiest when he’s surrounded by his humans, whether that includes kids, adults, or even other dogs. Louie is the kind of companion who will gladly join you for a stroll around the neighborhood or hop in the car for an adventure—he’s a big fan of both walks and car rides.
Louie knows some simple commands and is eager to please, especially when he’s getting attention and love. He’s also crate trained and finds comfort in having his own cozy space to relax.
Like many small dogs, Louie can be a bit protective of the things (and people!) he treasures most. He takes his role as your loyal companion seriously, which means he may sometimes act a little “big” when it comes to guarding his crate, toys, or favorite person. The good news? He’s much more talk than action—his bark tends to say more than his behavior ever would. With some patience, consistency, and continued training, Louie has great potential to keep growing into a well-rounded companion.
Louie is still working on perfecting his house training, so he’ll need a family that’s willing to continue helping him succeed with a routine and encouragement.
Overall, Louie is a loving, lively little dog who just wants to be part of a family that understands him and gives him the structure and affection he thrives on. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with lots of personality and a heart full of love, Louie might just be your perfect match.
If you are interested in adopting Louie, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
