What we know: Single puppy out of litter of 9 transferred with mama (603, Penny) from the Animal Services Center of Mesilla Valley in New Mexico. The family was found living under a trailer home when the puppies were very young. Other 8 puppies will come at a later date after URI symptoms clear. Transferred puppy, Mabel (604) was found at the same location as mom and 8 other puppies at a later date and assumed to be hers as well.
From the foster: Meet Mabel - or as we lovingly call her, Stable Mabel!
This little lady is basically the gold medalist of puppies. Sweet? Check. Calm? Yep. Fun and playful? Absolutely. Easygoing dream puppy? Somehow... also yes. We're honestly starting to suspect she may have read a book called How to Be the Best Puppy before arriving in foster care.
Mabel lives by a very important schedule: eat, play, potty, sleep and she sticks to it like a tiny furry life coach. She's doing amazing with potty training and sleeps quietly in her crate at night, waking up only for a quick potty break before happily heading right back to bed like the responsible little queen she is.
She's equal parts cuddly couch buddy and happy playmate. Mabel loves exploring the world, meeting people, and playing with toys, but she's also perfectly content to relax and soak up snuggles. She gets along wonderfully with our two big dogs, curious and friendly while still being respectful of their space.
Basically, if you're looking for a puppy who brings joy, calm, laughs, and puppy kisses all wrapped into one adorable package, Stable Mabel is your pup!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
