Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time***

We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.


Jimmy, 1.5 years old, neutered male, Pitbull Terrier mix, 45 pounds. He is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can transport to a city once an adopter is matched.

Meet Jimmy — your future best friend with two speeds: full throttle and full snuggle.

Jimmy is a happy-go-lucky, energetic boy who wakes up every day ready to make friends—both human and canine. If there’s a new face in the room, you can count on Jimmy to be the first to say hello with a wagging tail that seems to move at 1,000 mph. He’s playful, curious, and full of life, always eager to engage in a game of tag, tug-of-war, or a good old-fashioned wrestling match with a dog buddy.

Dog Social Skills
Jimmy loves other dogs and has experience with a wide range—from tiny 8 lb pups to large breeds like Labs and Shepherd mixes. He thrives in group play settings and enjoys matching the energy of his playmates. That said, he can come in a little hot on introductions and is still learning to read more reserved dogs. Once he settles in, he does a great job gravitating toward dogs who match his enthusiasm—or happily entertains himself with a toy when others are done playing.

Energy & Play Style
Jimmy is mostly high-energy when it’s time to play, especially if there’s human attention involved. But when the excitement dies down, he’s just as happy curling up on the couch or lounging nearby. He truly has an “on/off switch”—zoomies one minute, cuddle bug the next.

Personality
Outgoing, affectionate, playful, and smart—Jimmy is all about connection. He wants to be near his people, whether that’s sitting beside you or resting his head in your lap. He’s incredibly loving and thrives on physical touch and companionship. He also has a mischievous little smirk that perfectly matches his fun-loving personality.

Leash & Training
Jimmy is still polishing his leash manners. He can pull when excited and is very curious about the world around him (especially good smells and passing dogs). With consistency and some solo walks, he’ll continue to improve quickly—he’s very food- and praise-motivated and eager to learn.

Home Life

Fully house-trained with only minor early adjustment issues
Crate training is a work in progress, but he’s making great strides and beginning to see it as a safe space
Can be left alone for moderate periods (4–6 hours), especially with another dog companion
No resource guarding, though he does think every toy is the best toy

Kids & Cats

Friendly and social with older kids; would likely do well with respectful children
May be too enthusiastic for very young kids without supervision
Not tested with cats, but likely to chase at this stage

Ideal Home
Jimmy would thrive in an active home where he gets plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. A yard is a bonus, but not required—what matters most is engagement and companionship. He’d love a work-from-home human or an active family who will include him in daily life. Another playful dog could be a great match, especially if they enjoy high-energy play.

Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation.
